We recently spent 3 nights in one of the studio units. The check in was so easy, we were welcomed to the camp by Beth who made our stay extremely stress free. The unit was very clean and tidy, the park grounds were exceptional and well maintained. If you are travelling to the Bay of Islands then you have to make the effort to stay at the Top 10 in Russell. We will definitely be back.

Such a great location and easy going place. Was very busy as we went just after new years but never had to wait for a shower etc. utilities are great and well maintained. Will be back.

We stayed here on a family camping trip for one week.
The campground has lovely tropical gardens and has an abundance of wild bird life.

The pros: the staff! Very friendly & helpful, every interaction i had with a staff member was positive.
The cleanliness of the facilities, the bathrooms & kitchens were always clean, despite the campground being pretty full & busy.
The sites - decent sized, in good condition & reasonably flat.
The location, short walk into Russell waterfront, a bit more of a trek to long beach.
The cons: the price. We're top 10 members & camp a lot, and I thought it was kind of expensive, but soon learned pretty much everything in Russell is!
There isn't as much to do for the kids as other campsites, we had a few complaints of boredom.

Had the best time at the Russell Top 10! Stayed in one of the villas, it was beautifully clean and had everything we needed with a gorgeous view. The staff were very friendly and helpful and gave us lots of recommendations. Only a short walk into town and the beach! Thank you very much to all the staff at the campground for making our time in Russell so amazing 💕

First up if you are driving to the campsite take the ferry and don’t be an idiot like us driving the horrendous gravel mountain road 😂 brilliant campsite we had the seaview camper pitch - worth paying extra for. Fantastic amenities and loads of stuff for children to do they were all stood around the jumping pillow in the morning eagerly waiting for it to be blown up. Super close to the beach, great restaurants and bars.

Très contente de mon passage dans ce camping. Il y avait tout ce qu'il fallait, c'était propre, rien à redire si ce n'est la bonne montée pour aller jusqu'aux sanitaires / cuisine / laverie, mais le terrain est comme ça. Calme et juste à côté du centre. Je recommande avec plaisir.

I had a fantastic stay at Russell TOP 10 Holiday Park. The staff are incredibly friendly and always go out of their way to help, making you feel truly welcome. The rooms were clean, tidy, and well-maintained, and the amenities on site were excellent. The location is absolutely beautiful – a perfect base to explore Russell and the surrounding area. I would happily recommend this holiday park to anyone looking for a comfortable, relaxing, and well-run place to stay. Thanks for all that you do to support the BOI Music Festivals.

Came for one night but stayed for 3 such was our experience staying in this lovely camp. Excellent clean facilities and a short wander into town or Long Beach which is a must. Just wish I had taken my togs to the latter as it appeared warm enough to swim in July!

Our family has camped at Russell Top 10 many times over the years. We have always had an great holiday and have enjoyed the wonderful facilities. Russell Top 10 is in a fantastic location - a 5 min walk into Russell for great cafes, fishing off the wharf, a fancy dinner at the Duke of Marlborough and the Hole in the Rock cruise. Just short walk or drive over the hill you'll find Long Beach - great for safe swimmng, snorkelling, kayaking and fishing which managed to keep our now 17 year old entertained for many hours. Make the most of the opportunity to walk over to Long Beach first thing in the morning for a quiet dip and a great coffee! We will be back!

Solid camp spot. Has the amenities you would expect from a top 10. I appreciated that even the picnic tables were wiped off.

some of the burners didn’t work right in the kitchen which was a bit frustrating.

Stayed on a powered dog friendly site which was all as expected.
Great location but unfortunately the reception we received was less than warm. Got the feeling that we were putting them out even though the park was not busy.
Love Russell and will be back, regardless.

We have just arrived back from our camping stay for five nights over the new year period. We loved the location. We parked up and then never used the car once. We walked and took the ferry everywhere. Fantastic being so close to Russell township and to the lovely Long Beach.
Our site was great and very spacious.
Yes it was busy and noisy at times but it was normally shut down not long after 10pm. We knew we were there in the peak time so we expected it. The facilities were great and very clean. Lovely showers. The playground was very cool and having the jumping pillow was good fun for the kids. Awesome being able to buy cold drinks and ice blocks / ice creams from the reception and they were all really reasonable too. The ladies on reception were also very friendly. Check in was a breeze. The internet is fantastic in the campground too.
The only thing I will say was the pathway to the side gate also meant to be a road within the campground was taken over by residents of the annuals. We had to side step around kids bikes and guide ropes and at one stage a kids paddling pool. If anyone had a pram or wheelchair they wouldn't be able to get through as well as there is no way you could get a car through so this is something that needs to be addressed. Just comes down to common courtesy.
We thank you Top 10 Russell for a great stay and we look forward to returning once again soon.

We stayed in the caravan park and used the facilities which were clean and very well maintained. Went for a night walk and saw a kiwi about 200 meters from where we were. Had a weka running round the sites. Showers were excellent

Grand camping avec une immense aire de jeux pour les enfants. Espaces communs toujours aussi propres que dans tout les Top 10 que j'ai précédemment visité. Seul petit bémol : on n'a pas voulu nous donner un grand emplacement pour notre camping car sous prétexte que le camping était plein (nous étions en hiver) et quand nous sommes allés nous garer, le camping était vide (photo à l'appui).

A great place to go to just chill. Nice cafes and restaurants close bye. Short walk to town and safe swimming beaches. Camp, glamp or use a cabin, something for everyone that won't stretch the budget. Friendly staff. Clean facilities

Great little park, beautiful bird sounds! Not sure about the 5 minute timers on the showers considering you pay so much to stay here, particularly as the first few minutes are cold. You can switch them back on after 1 minute, but the beeping noise isn’t very relaxing on a weekend away.

We just used a powered site for our campervan, but all amenities were fantastic, the kids especially loved the playground. It was awesome seeing all the weka around too. We will be back, maybe even hire a cabin next time...

Russell is a nice little and quiet town in Northland. The Campground lies on a hill near the town center(500m). The Campground is tidy and quiet. We stayed on one of the elevated sites with a great view of the town and it is absolutely worth the money.
